Incidently, I have set up some Updraftplus backups on my offline site, but I’m unsure if as a last resort, I’d need to reinstall the whole of WordPress again (keeping reference to all my config files information for easy duplication into the fresh install)? I tried copying fresh wordpress files over the top of the old ones -(keeping the old wp-content folder and the wp-config.php file).īecause my site is offline only at the moment as I’m still creating it, I don’t think I can do the recommended wordpress database repair process – if that would help.
Fresh xampp install phpmyadmin no username password password#
I also changed ‘pma user’ login in phpmyadmin to match the password in. I read somewhere that some people have changed controluser to ‘root’? But I tried that and still no luck. I have also allowed all login permissions for all the apparent users in phpmyadmin. I logged into phpmyadmin (this is up-to-date)- and found that there were somehow some database errors which i appear to have fixed by repairing the mysql db table.

I have tried disabling of the plugins and themes in wp-content folder, and that didn’t work. No settings had been changed since the previous day’s log on when it worked (as far as I know, I didn’t change anything in the or wp-config.php).

It gives me the message ‘Error establishing a database connection’. I suddenly and for no apparent reason found that I could not log into the wordpress dashboard. My site is offline at the moment and not live or hosted anywhere just yet.
